222201 - A - Swim Lessons-Level I - Sess 1

PLEASE NOTE DATES OF THIS SESSION - The class will run 50 minutes in length. Participants must be able to complete the skills below to move to the next level. Level I: Introduction to Water Skills
Purpose: Orientation to aquatic environment; to help the student feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely.
Prerequisites: Must be age 5 or older.
Learning Objectives (partial list): Submerge face and blow bubbles (5 seconds); open eyes underwater; demonstrate comfort in a front and back float position for 3 seconds, supported; change direction; roll from front to back and back to front; treading water; combination swimming for 5 feet.

Note:

Friday is a makeup day for inclement weather.
